Badshah Begum’s story revolves around a brave girl Jahan Ara who is the daughter of Pir Shah Alam. She struggles to protect her family and herself from dynastic politics and sibling rivalry that are imposed on her. The drama story starts from a fictional state called Peeraan Pur is ruled by a king named Pir Shah Alam, who has five children: Shahzeb, Murad, Jahan Ara, Roshan Ara, and Shahmir.

Pir Shah Alam’s hometown is the setting for intense power struggles and politics and his children, Jahan Ara, Roshan, and Shahmir, find themselves caught in family rivalry and other dynastic politics.
